Marco’s Arietta can easily be said to be a red natural wine which epitomises the very soul of Merlot from Veneto’s Colli Euganei. Hailing from biodynamic older Merlot vines, it gans its name from the gentle winds that blow in the valley. After 2 weeks skin contact in cement during wild fermentation it sees 8-12 months elevage in old barrels. Not fined, filtered or tainted by SO2 it’s a proud and fiery wine marrying fruit, elegant tannins and deep sapidity: spiced black currants compote with red hibiscus essence and wild plums.
