Gianfranco’s Gretino (which in Italian means exactly what you think it means) is a deeply emotional and intensely complex yet playfully cheerful, Sardinian natural red wine. It’s a blend of the ancient local varieties Bovale, Alicante and Monica. Gianfranco works about 6 hectares of old vines divided into tiny parcels on clay, limestone and schist soils according to a strict organic and biodynamic ethos. Only naturally fermented grapes, no oenological trickery, fining, filtration or added SO2 to be found here. This sings of Mediterranean bushes, ripe arbutum berries, spiced cherries and helychrisium.
