ROSSO JAT AE1 2016
This is 100% Tai Rosso, typical Veneto variety close relative to France’s Grenache and Sardinia’s Cannonau, hailing from a 45 years old South-facing hillside vineyard. The vines are lovingly tended with biodynamic practices and are rooted on rich clay-limestone soils. Following wild fermentation with native yeasts in cement tanks with no temperature control, with a maceration of 11 days, the wine ages in small oak until the end of the following year. Scintillating with emotion and brightly energetic, it chants poems of crushed violets, arbutus berry and smoked rhubarb.
