SURVIVOR GROGU 2015

This transcendent and unique heavenly creature of a natural wine is neither white, orange, red or rosè. Is, as the name recites, the survivor of a cataclysmic vintage and, as it often happens, out of adversity and nearly missed tragedy true art and beauty were born. In 2015 a fiery thunderstorm and hail nearly decimated the vintage, so that Gianfranco literally hand-picked from the ground the very few grapes healthy enough to become wine and co-fermented them with a brief skin contact. There is no degrading oenological trickery, fining, filtration or added SO2 to be found here, just pure and unstoppable energy and character! It sings and roars with balsamic herbs, spiced pears with candied lavender, grilled barley and camphor.
