At just 11% ABV, the 2019 release is an absolute masterclass in low-alcohol intensity. Chardonnay provides a weightless, silky frame; Kerner bursts through with high-toned herbal and meadow-flower aromatics; while Renski Rizling supplies a razor-sharp spine of high-altitude acidity.
The Visual: A luminous, cloudy topaz-orange with bright amber glints. Completely unfined, unfiltered, and swirling with natural sediment.
The Nose: Lifted, kinetic, and wildly aromatic. Bright notes of fresh grapefruit oil, green mandarin peel, and underripe apricot lead into chamomile, pine needles, crushed limestone, and a subtle rustic flash of floorboard spice.
The Palate: Shockingly weightless yet grips the tongue with purpose. Fine, tea-like skin tannins meet a mouth-puckering, electric mineral drive. Expect crunchier fruit flavors—sour orange, dried green apples, and salt-cured lemon—finishing with a bone-dry, saline, and refreshing mountain snap.
This is skin-contact white wine at its most drinkable and energizing. While older or warmer vintages lean into rich, meditative depths, the 2019 is all about pure drive, glou-glou drinkability, and electric focus. It proves that you don't need heavy alcohol or massive body to deliver serious, age-worthy natural wine structure.
