NFRASCATO
Hailing from an elder single cru in Southern Lazio’s priverno, this light (as in not macerated much) but powerfully intriguing orange wine is a blend of 60% Ottonese and 40% Moscato Bianco. The Ottonese, imbuing the wine with depth and jumping acidity, is direct-pressed in whole bunches with a wooden press, while the Moscato, giving it floral and fruity aromatics, sees 24 hours skin contact. The result, aged in fiberglass and bottled with no added SO2, is a veritable explosion of super ripe yellow plums and saffron, preserved quince and smoked tobacco, marzipan and lavender.
