NOTTE DI LUNA BIANCO 2016
This poignantly expressive orange wine from Emilia Romagna sees a blend of the aromatic Malvasia di Candia and Moscato Bianco with the brightly acid and vigorously tannic Spergola grape, from a mix of old and younger vines on loamy-rocky soils. Skin contact extends for the length of the natural fermentation from a few days to one or more weeks, with no fining, filtration or added SO2. Inebriating florals of jasmine, citrus blossom and marzipan are joined by assertive fruit and briny tones with ripe persimmon, tinned peaches and lime zest.
