Guido’s richly complex yet joyously drinkable Barbera proudly goes against all Barbera stereotypes, wanting this to be a simple wine to be enjoyed young, and is released at least a full 10 years after harvest. Hailing from sandy-limestone soils, it sees wild fermentation with a long maceration of 40 days in traditional large barrels and ages at least 2 years before being bottled with a minimal amount of SO2. Animal yet ripe with linear and crunchy fruit and incredible depth: crushed violet petals and sour wild cherries, ripe red plums with light red spices.
