ROSSO

 

Le Coste’s signature red, a volcanic eruption (from volcanic soils) of rustic and emotionally moving flavours, is a blend of mostly Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino with a touch of ancient local grapes Vaiano, harvested from different cru’s of differing ages. Wild fermentation rages along with a skin contact of about 10 days, followed by elevage in used traditional chestnut barrels. Unstoppably and fiery juicy and vital: fresh wild boysenberry with grilled thyme, a hint of ancient lacquer, mineral choirs and dried pomegranate.
