This exquisitely unique and local declination of Grechetto Rosso, Lazio’s own strain of Sangiovese, comes from organic grapes from a single 40 years old cru. They ferment with their own native yeasts and spend 3 weeks of maceration with the skins, then 1 year in locally crafted old chestnut barrels and 2 more in the bottle, with no fining nor filtration. Wonderfully bright and expressive: crushed bougainvillea petals with red peppercorns, violet forest berries and blood orange rind.
