ROSSO DI GAETANO

 

What Clementine and Gianmarco call their “picnic wine” in 2018 sees a bit of a different blend, with about half Sangiovese and the remainder Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. They macerate with the skins during spontaneous fermentation for about 3 weeks, before aging for 2 years in old barrels. Electrically outspoken and rustically flamboyant with dark mulberries, brambles with cinnamon and allspice, fuji apples and red curry.
