Il Torchiato’s name comes from “torchio” (wood press in Italian) and indicates how this wine, the epitome of rustic tradition being sublimated into utter elegance, is born out of Sangiovese to which the vinacce of all the other wines of that vintage: Ciliegiolo, Canaiolo, Pinot Nero, Syrah, Malvasia and Trebbiano. It packs a delightful punch, offering lively fruit and kicking spiciness: wild spices ad summer herbs, dark forest berries and ripe plums with pink pepper.
