FATTORIA DI CASPRI
Fattoria di Caspri, nestled in the hills of Rural Tuscany not far from Arezzo, is the visionary passion project of famed French oenologist Bertrand Habsiger, originally from Alsace, who had long seeked for an optimal farm where to make natural wine in Italy.
Since its birth in 2005 Caspri has been dedicated to natural farming which is certified both organic and biodynamic, with vines being treated with herbal and vegetable teas and decoctions so as to naturally strengthen the vines against parasites. Growing on rugged soils rich with clay and decomposed gneiss we find traditional Tuscan varieties such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Trebbiano and Malvasia, alongside french ones such as Pinot Noir, Syrah and Grenache.
The result wines are living masterworks shining with elegance, depth of character and dynamic tension.
