Chiassobuio, hailing from Tuscany’s stunningly beautiful Val di Chiana, is a natural red of rustic and refined expressiveness, made from organically farmed Sangiovese 90%, Colorino 5% and Canaiolo 5% planted in 1970, the same blend of Chianti. The grapes ferment wildly with native yeasts 70% in steel tanks and 30% in large wood, and then see an elevage of 1 year in large barrels and 1 more in the bottle. Rich and intense yet light-footed with enveloping tannins: dark earth and iron tones, crunchy appleberries and red currants, black spices and Pu Ehr tea.
