VILLA PACINA 2011
Villa Pacina is 100% Sangiovese from young and older vines, aged 20-40 years, grown naturally on the typical clay-limestone Chianti soils. It ferments wildly in old cement tanks already used by preceding generations and, in order to best preserve the purity of the fruit, ages only in cement for 1 year and at least 1 more in the bottle with no fining, filtration or added SO2. Wonderfully eloquent and brimming with ancient tradition as well as vibrant life: dark spices with preserved boysenberries, wild mint and lyly, rhubarb compote and blood orange rind.
