EZO 2019
Depth, concentration and pure territorial passions are the defining marks of this astounding natural red wine from iconic vigneron of the Languedoc Roussillon Alain Castex. It’s a blend of Syrah and Merlot from old vines on soils characterised by granite, gravel and schist. Fermentation is spontaneous in steel tanks with carbonic maceration and the wine sees no fining, filtration or added SO2. It sings and enchants with plump but not overripe boysenberries, liquorice, ematic notes and mediterranean herbs.
