CUVEE A FREUX 2017
This is one of Anthony’s most stunning and expressive natural wines, a mind-numbingly delicious and vibrant orange wine from Languedoc Roussillon. It’s born from organically farmed old vines of mostly Grenache Blanc with a touch of Marsanne grown on clay-limestone soils It ferments spontaneously with its native yeasts in whole bunches and sees a skin contact of 30-45 days in steel before elevage. Of course no intrusive and demeaning fining, filtration or added SO2. Fresh, intense and powerful: passionfruit curd with lemongrass tea, saffron and cloves honey.
