BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO 2012
Fonterenza’s Brunello di Montalcino is a pure and unstoppable love song for this unique and stunning terroir. The hopes and dreams of the vignerons are conjoined with the force and history of the land within the Sangiovese grapes that give birth to this wine, which comes from the highest single cru of the estate “Vigna del Bosco” (Vineyard of the Woods) at almost 500 m of elevation. The grapes are farmed biodynamically, ferment with their native yeasts in wooden barrels and macerate with the skins for 90 days, they then age 47 months in differently sized woods. Grace and elegance meet power and focus: dried bilberries with fresh spiced black currants, black olives, cherry bark and tamarind.
