CHIANTI COLLI FIORENTINI RISERVA 2013
This old style Chianti is mainly Sangiovese grapes with a small percentage of Canaiolo and Malvasia nera, from 50 years old vines. The three vines are harvested and vinified together at the same time. A pre-fermentation maceration is carried out for 48 hours, followed by punching down and pumping over every 6 hours for about 25 days until the fermentation is finished, then maceration for a few days and finally "batonnage sur lies" for 6 months. Enveloping hints of marasca cherry, plum, wild berries, dark chocolate and white pepper and tobacco, velvety but well present tannins.
