BIRBO 2018
Birbo, which in Veneto dialect indicates a lovingly naughty child, is a joyously bright and energetic natural orange wine. It’s a blend of Malvasia and Friulano from biodynamically farmed vineyards on volcanic soils and sees about 10 days of skin contact. It’s a perfect and delightful “gateway drug” into the world of orange wines, with the maceration giving it juicy pulp but no excess fat: wild tropical flowers with ripe peach, rosemary and roasted bitter almonds.
