MASIERO

The natural wine adventure of husband and wife team Gianfranco and Francesca Masiero begins in the early 2000’s when, after being passionate drinkers for years and friends with many producers, they planted their first Merlot vines.

The winery, located in Veneto’s volcanic hills near Vicenza and surrounded by woods, comprises about 3 hectares divided in two vineyards: one of Pinot Noir and Merlot on volcanic soils and another rather old one of Garganega, Tai rosso, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio on limestone soils. All wines are wild-fermented in open tronco-conical wooden vats with no temperature control and see no fining or filtration. They have been always working biodynamically and produce fresh, vibrant and complex natural wines with an intimate connection with their terroir.
