CA' DE NOCI

Ca' De Noci, nestled at the feet of Emilia Romagna’s Appennino Reggiano mountains near the Crostolo mountain stream, has been for years one of the most important names in Italian natural wine, especially when it comes to the renaissance of the “rifermentato” Petnat method of bubbles. Certified organic since 1993, the winery works about 5 hectares of traditional local varieties such as Lambrusco, Spergola and Malbo Gentile, some dating back to the early 70’s, on loamy soils rich with ancient river pebbles. Aside from minimal amounts of copper and sulphur well below organic limits, in the vineyard natural plant extracts are used to maximize the health of the ecosystem. All wines see no added SO2 and are vibrant with joyous and kaleidoscopic life.
