ERIC PFIFFERLING

L'ANGLORE

L’Anglore is the natural wine passion project of former mechanic and former apiculturist Eric Pfifferling, now joined in leading the Domaine by his son Thibault. We’re at the outskirts of the Southern Rhone village of Tavel, not far from Avignone, considered by many the very best terroir for rosè in France, as well as being the only AOC designated for rosè. Eric has been since 2002 giving light to enthralling and unforgettable fiercely complex, powerful and dynamic rosès and somewhat ethereal yet always passionate, sharp and focused light reds. On soils of sand, white clay, limestone and clay Eric grows mostly Grenache, then Clairette Rose, Carignan and Cinsault, some of which from beautifully gnarled old vines. All work in the vineyard as well as the cellar is strictly natural (with organic certification), with no intrusive manipulations or invasive techniques of any kind, nor any added SO2. The wines are soulful, lush, passionate yet deeply elegant and eminently drinkable.
