ALIGOTE LES AUVONNES AU PEPE 2018
This wine by Sylvain Pataille called Les Auvonnes au Pépé is the Aligote produced with the 50-year-old vines at an altitude of 250 meters on a clayey-marly soil and limestone rocks facing east. Aging takes place over 12 months in used barrels and "demi-muids" 600-liter capacity oak barrels. The bouquet of ripe citrus crossed by a nice minerality introduces a full and greedy mouth. The juicy, sun-drenched fruit offers a savory richness with divine tangerine accents while retaining a saving tension until the saline finish.
