CIPRIANO BARSANTI

MACEA and CAMIGLIANO

Both Macea and Camigliano are wineries born out of the pure natural wine vision of Cipriano Barsanti, master of the biodynamic arts in the stunning Lucca hills in Tuscany at the feet of the Alpi Apuane mountains. Camigliano is a project that recuperated the old vineyards of the noble Guinigi Family, lords of Lucca in the 15th century, while Macea is Cipriano’s own project. Both are cultivated with local and long-naturalised international varieties, some of the former rare and not yet officially recognised, such as Pinot Nero, Ciliegiolo, Malvasia Nera, Montanina, Bracciola, Vermentino and Trebbiano. Cipriano’s masterful touch and the terroir’s unique characteristics give us natural wines of rare focus, depth and elegance.
