FREDERIC COSSARD and DOMAINE DE CHASSORNEY

In the village of Saint-Romain, among the verdant and rolling hills of Bourgogne’s Hautes Côtes de Beaune, Frederic Cossard founded his winery “Domaine de Chassorney” in 1996 after a career of many years in the wine sector. Comprising about 7 hectares, the estate is divided between the municipalities of Saint-Romain and Auxey-Duresses. Vineyard work is strictly and lovingly natural, mirrored by practices in the cellar, with only indigenous yeasts, no fining or filtration or added SO2. In 2006, together with his wife, Frederic founded a Nègoce, searching for the best organic and biodynamic grapes in the area and vinifying a beautiful range of wines from the cru’s of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune.
