CANAIOLO 2017
Real terroir and the vigneron’s vision and love for tradition shine through in this natural red from ancient clones 100% Canaiolo, one of the most typical Tuscan varieties and part of the Chianti blend. These are carefully selected clones of ancient Canaiolo from vines of up to 60 years old in Scandicci, near Florence. It ferments naturally for 20 days with frequent “remouage”, then sees 6 months of “batonnage sur lies” and elevage in large wood. Elegant and brightly fresh with notes of dried verbena, smoked rhubarb, black plums and aromatic herbs.
