CANTA MANANA 2019
This is Alain’s rose, a natural wine of almost esoteric depth and complexity yet sincere and rustic character. It’s obtained with the “ rose de saignee” method, involving the “bleeding” of some of the red juice which had been in contact with the skins, closer therefore to a light red in structure and body. Grapes are an amazing 7 varieties, all biodynamically farmed and ranging in age from 30 to a whopping 100 years old, among which we find Grenache Gris, Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre and other ancient and rare local ones. Of course fermentation is proudly wild and there’s no fining, filtration or added SO2 to be found.
