L’ACCROCHE COEUR 2018
This Syrah and Merlot blend from Ardeche’s natural wine master Jerome Jouret is nothing short of a real masterpiece of balance between lush depth and vertical and sharp drinkability. It’s born of old vines, some of which more than 60 years of age, organically farmed on the rocky soils of the Vallee d’Ibie. Wild fermentation with the grape’s native yeasts is followed by elevage in large wood for 18-20 months before bottling with no fining, filtration or added SO2. Heady and exhilarating notes of bramble, pink peppercorns, rum-infused raisins, spiced mulbberies and forest floor.
