ROSSO DI CASPRI 2014
Rosso di Caspri is a 100% Sangiovese from the farm’s younger vines, farmed biodynamically on sandy soils rich with clay and gneiss, and vinified with wild fermentation, with part of the grapes in whole bunches, in tronco-conical wooden vats. It rests in variably sized old barrels for at least 1 year before being bottled with no fining, filtration or added SO2. Pleasantly rustic and tersely elegant: dried hibiscus, Mediterranean bush, wild cherries and cardamom with toasted chestnut.
